Why would God descend from His estate and take on flesh and blood? How would he come? How would we know? What would He accomplish on Earth in human form? All great questions, and each have an answer. The prophesies of the Messiah (anointed, king) are many and varied, and were accomplished in Jesus the Christ (anointed). His advent into the world elicited various responses. Some rejoiced, some wanted to kill him. He was born for death, even the death of the cross.
