Jesus is our sacrifice. He offered himself to God once. By that offering He perfected forever them that are sanctified. Just because our sins are totally paid for does not exempt us from suffering and being burdened in this life. When we are troubled, we want to talk to people that can identify with our pain – those who understand what we are going through. The only people that give us any comfort are those that can identify with us. God became a man. In his flesh, he suffered and was in all points tempted, yet without sin. It is on this basis that Jesus is able to identify with us. He knows our problems, for he suffered the guilt of them all on the cross. Go to Him for help.
