All of the priests under the Law service in the Old Testament were not sufficient. Their service was continual in that their priestly duties were never finished. The sacrifices were not sufficient in taking away sin, only reminding the people of their sinfulness. Christ as a perfect priest performed his duty completely. Christ as a perfect sacrifice had no need to offer himself to God more than once. It is for this reason that there is no need of another priest, or sacrifice.
