In the Bible, there were many citations of sounding a trumpet. God blew the first trumpet long and loud at Mt. Sinai. God instructed Moses make two trumpets. The trumpets were to be blown for assembly, for alarm, for war, for gladness and memorial. It was blown to get the attention of God’s people. When the Gospel is preached today, we blow the trumpet for the same reasons. There is yet to be a trumpet blown by God. He blew the first trumpet, and he will blow the last trumpet.
