God’s Grace is sufficient for saving sinners. It is sufficient for all things for which it is given according to God’s purpose. But in 2 Corinthians 12:9, And he said unto me, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”, God answers Paul’s prayer that his thorn in the flesh would be removed. The answer was in effect — No, the thorn is there to keep you from being exalted above measure, but my grace is sufficient to carry you through the trial. We love the grace of God in saving sinners, but do we understand that sometimes our trials are given to us to keep us humble? God’s grace is sufficient for our “thorns in the flesh” also.
