In Revelation 19 – 20 we see many things concerning the end times. The beast and false prophet gather their army (the deceived ones) to battle against the saints, but that battle never takes place (at least for the saints). Then Satan, after he is loosed for a little season, deceives the nations and gathers those opposed to Christ and His Kingdom. The Bible is very clear that these enemies of Christ and His Kingdom will encompass (surround) the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. But there is never a battle. The enemies of God are consumed immediately without ever engaging with His saints. May we not be ignorant of what is going on around us, but have a more keen spiritual perception of His coming and draw comfort from His coming in His glory!
