The Cross has been diminished to something we wear as jewelry, see on Christmas and Easter cards, and even tattoo on our skin. We are so far removed from what the cross was that if we saw a man actually hanging on it, we would be outraged at the cruelty, or maybe, we would mock the one suffering on it. What is the cross, and what was it’s purpose?
