What is salvation? The word salvation in the Bible is to convey deliverance, liberty, to save, rescue, avenge and defend. In both the OT and NT, there is the idea of past deliverance, present deliverance and future deliverance. There is also the meanings of one who brings salvation, the one (or ones) the salvation is brought to and the idea of future salvation – hoped for, or expected.
