Paul would not have the Corinthians ignorant of the trouble that befell them in their journeys for the cause of Christ. This information had a purpose for them, and it also has a purpose for us now. We are to comfort those that are in trouble with the same comfort that we have been comforted by God. Let us always be ready to comfort others.
