Many animals were sacrificed to atone for sin but all those sacrifices only brought remembrance of the sins that they committed every year. It is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. That payment was not sufficient. It took the blood sacrifice of a man to take away the sins of man and reconcile man to God. Jesus offered himself to God ONLY, for it was God who was aggrieved by sin.
