A covenant is an alliance, pledge or promise, entered into by two or more parties. A covenant is of much more force than a contract because it is perpetually binding. There are covenants between man and man, and there are covenants the God made with man and there is a covenant between God and Himself. A covenant is only as strong as the ones that are entered into it and are conditional to the keeping of it by both parties.
