When struggling with a difficult decision or a tragedy in our lives, or just something that we want, such as a new job, moving to a new place, or to be a millionaire, we have all heard someone say, “Just have faith”. Maybe they just don’t know what to say in times of trouble and blurt out the phrase in a vain attempt to comfort you in your struggle. Or maybe, they are telling you that if you have enough faith, whatever you desire will be yours. The word “faith” has been so abused, misused, and widely promoted this way in Christianity that God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Should we have faith for anything? Will God grant our prayers for whatever we desire?
